What is Charoite?
Charoite is a privacy focused personal finance app currently in beta testing. It provides account & transaction tracking, categorization, cash flow visualization, and data synchronization.
How does Charoite handle my data?
Charoite does not have any backend servers, everything executes on device and uses iCloud for storage (and household sharing if you choose to use it).
How does household sharing work?
Household sharing uses iCloud invitations so selected members can collaborate on shared planning. See the household sharing FAQ for details about invitations, selected accounts, and privacy.
How does Charoite access my financial data?
Charoite utilizes the data provider you choose to connect to your bank accounts.
What data providers are supported?
Currently, you can use SimpleFIN Bridge as a data provider. It costs $15 a year.
In the future, we plan on supporting direct bank integrations when we can negotiate secure, free approaches.
How much does Charoite cost?
The Charoite app is $10. Our lowest cost data provider SimpleFIN Bridge costs $15 a year, which you pay directly to them.
